Why I’m Late to Stumble Upon StubmleUpon

Today I finally joined StumbleUpon (please friend me)

I’ve been active on Digg, Propeller, Reddit, etc for so long – it’s kinda silly that I never joined StumbleUpon. Although SU isn’t a traditional social news site – it flirts in that arena.

I have known about it for a long time – probably since just after they launched. I have even conversed with one of the programmers behind their recommendation algorithm. I’ve been a silent fan of SU for a long time.

BUT – I had a bunk version of Firefox that for some reason wouldn’t let me install toolbars (I don’t know — don’t ask – just know that I tried and tried).

Today I got off my lazy butt and installed a new version of FireFox (woot) and finally have at SU toolbar.

For some reason this new version of Firefox is blocking images on web pages (useful ones like the RSS reader) — so I need to figure that out. But overall I’m happy with my new toolbar functionality: Soon I’ll wonder how I survived without it.

At this point in time I’m accepting: Suggestions on other toolbars to use, suggestions on how I can get FireFox to display all my the images on a page again.
