Be The Future of Journalism

In my last post I talked about linking and mentioned Scott Karp as somebody who has obviously zenned out on the practice.

Another reason why I was happy to join the advisory board for Pubish2 (disclaimer) was that they are forward thinking. Today they announced the “I Am the Future of Journalism” contest.

Winner of the contest gets a job working for what is an exciting startup.

I’m often asked what skills are needed to make it in journalism today. The job description is changing – so nobody really knows what the future skill set is going to be. Here is your chance not only to opine – but get a job as a reward.

If I wasn’t working on Spot.Us – I’d apply. A chance to build some new skills while getting paid to work for a startup! It is going to be a startup that changes this industry. I don’t know if it’ll be Publish2 – but the more experience you have working with small nimble teams – the better you will be at fending for yourself.

Side note: I’m publishing this from the Apple Store in San Francisco. My computer had a run in with some coffee – and now I fear I’m fighting for its life. Wish me luck.
