Back in Dodge

Took the red-eye back to NY. Came home, crashed. Woke up. Hungry as hell. About to catch up with a week’s worth of backed up work.

This was in my Inbox waiting for me: Assignment Zero’s first review.

Now that the production phase is done — and presentation is about to happen, we have opened ourselves up to review, criticism, acknowledgments etc.

I intend to do a critical analysis (along with Amanda Michel) when some of the dust settles, for the benefit of the journalism community and to let the AZ community know what we learned (a lot).

One thing I didn’t expect (although I should have) was that our contributors, who are varied and dispersed and part of the media landscape in one form or another, are now part of that review process. What was their experience? What did they learn or take away from the process?

I’m happy that Randy Hunt from Citizen Scholar was about to chime in for this review on World Changing. He was a great part of the team who I worked with directly. I hope that there are future projects like Assignment Zero that give Randy or people like him the chance to do journalism again.
