It’s your world, I’m just reporting in it.
I don’t remember who said it, but at a Journalism That Matters conference somebody said the following as a distinction between a professional journalist and a citizen journalist:
"A professional reports on the news. A citizen journalist shares the news that is happening in their life."
Hello David…
I checked-out your blog today and two sentences caught my attention:
“A professional reports on the news. A citizen journalist shares the news that is happening in their life.”
That’s what I do.
I have faithfully posted to my blog for over three-years now.
Like millions of other people do in their own blog every day.
But in my case, I have had to rely on [for the most part] free-net access sites.
That’s because I’m a poor road rat and [until recently] I didn’t have my own computer to use.
I am poor because I have spent the past fifteen-years hitchhiking around North America.
Now I’m 52 and in another generation.
The liberals think I’m uncool and the conservatives swear I’m a radical subversive.
Actually, I’m Ruthie.
And I’ve kept the NewsTrust link on my blog since NT went online.
I like your blog. Keep up the good work.
And I’ll keep posting in my blog…sharing the news about my life with the rest of our world.
