Digg’s CEO Jay Adelson

I just got off the phone with Jay Adelson, CEO of Digg.com.

It was my second conversation with him. He was very poignant and had good answers to my questions, which in my opinion were not all softball — but I guess that’s what CEOs do.

The one thing I can report in this post: He ended the conversation by thanking me for all my contributions to the site and explained that at Digg they are very appreciative of those who contribute to the site

"We can’t thank you enough for particapting in it. it takes for a few strong and dedicated people to make a better community, we benefited from your participation. What we need to do at dig frankly, without paying anybody, we have to find a way to show our appreciation and that’s something we are struggling with. We need to find a good way to show our appreciation and thatâ??s something we are struggling with, we need to find a good way to show our appreciation that doesn’t disrupt the leveleness of the community.

I have been told I can’t send a tv shirt, by p9, without being offensive."

The rest of the conversation will be part of a longer CJR piece that won’t come out till January. So, yea… don’t hold your breathe.
